About Amy O'Neil Fissell
I think looking at the horizon is not only restorative, but it also gives us an awareness of something bigger than ourselves—without undue definition. By bringing images of the horizon into our daily interiors through reflective landscape paintings, I seek to create a mental space and clarity that is lost so easily in daily thought.
I try to universalize my subject. My scenes and portraits could be from anywhere, which is what I believe creates a shared experience for varied audience.
A member of the Madison Art Guild, my works are part of private collections nationwide and have been exhibited locally and regionally.
